After graduating from Leeds University with a Bachelors Degree in Media and Dance, Karen has worked alongside some of the most inspiring dancers and choreographers in the World; including choreographers such as Thea Barnes, choreographer of the West End smash hit The Lion King, Sheriden Coldstream, the winning vocal coach of BBC’s Can’t Sing Singer’s and coach of contestants from The Voice, X Factor and The Voice, Andy Instone choreographer and founder of International dance company Urban Strides, Richard Alston of London Contemporary Dance School and many more.
AK15 have choreographed and performed in fashion shows, pop videos, musicals and festivals throughout the UK and abroad.
Many of her students have gone on to win prestigious dance awards and performing in Broadway, the West End, o2 Arenas and The Royal Variety Show. From Pineapple Studios in London to Culture Shock in San Deigo, Karen has consistently maintained a highly regarded professional status in the dance world and strives to ensure that the quality and technique that she has encompassed through her dancing emanates through to her students.
Karen King is also a choreographer and vocal coach for local students as well as select high profile clients both in the UK and overseas, including bands and music artists. From beginners to professionals, disadvantaged children to university post graduates, Karen has taught and inspired a huge range of people. Discovering and nurturing hidden talents as well as developing and perfecting existing skills.
